Stephen R. Senn Receives Florida Bar Foundation President’s Award for Excellence

Stephen R. Senn received The Florida Bar Foundation President’s Award for Excellence, presented at its annual reception and dinner on June 27, 2019. 

Steve was honored with this distinction for his steady and dependable leadership and his willingness to go above and beyond his expected duties in service to The Florida Bar Foundation. He exhibits the utmost professionalism in his even-keeled approach to challenges, which is valued by colleagues, clients, and peers. Steve’s experience and commitment to public service is a tremendous asset to The Florida Bar Foundation and to Peterson & Myers, P.A. 

Steve began serving on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation in 2012 and currently serves as the First Vice President. The Florida Bar Foundation is a statewide charitable organization which provides greater access to civil justice.

Steve also serves on the Advisory Committee on Local Rules for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the Polk Academies Executive Advisory Board, and the Tenth Circuit Pro Bono Committee. He is a past president of the board of directors for Florida Rural Legal Services and the Florida Equal Justice Center. He is a three-time recipient of The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award, and has also been recognized by the Lakeland Bar Association with the Jerry A. DeVane Award and the Jon H. Anderson Pro Bono Service Award. 

Steve is also an adjunct professor at Florida Southern College, where he teaches a seminar on landmark decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court.
